Recharge every layer of your Self. Connect with nature. Feel renewed.
"Together, Tiina & Ally offer creative, flowing, spiritual and prana-infused yoga that tunes us into our connection to the planet and creation as a whole. With emphasis on the deeper practices of yoga and the roots of this vast lineage, their classes inspire a connection to the intelligence of prana (life force) and a deep honouring of experience of the present moment and the gift of life itself. As a partnership, they offer a safe, healing, transformative space that awakens, inspires, integrates students with their own highest Self and rekindles their relationship to nature."

Pura Vida! as the locals would say, which means "Pure Life"
Costa Rica is a beautiful and biodiverse country with countless breathtaking vistas. Unlike most of the country, the Nicoya Pennisula – where Nosara is located – is one of five famous "Blue Zones"
Nosara is like a second home to both Ally & Tiina. We have such a love of Nosara that we've planned our lives around being there for as long as possible during the winter months. Our love stems from the beautiful beach sunsets, the thriving yoga community, the howler monkeys everywhere, natural jungle surroundings, the therapeutic Costa Rican pace, their way of life and the foodie culture.
Our Retreat is located in the foothills of Nosara surrounded by mature jungle and is a short walk from the secluded beautiful Playa Peleda and walking distance to world class surfing beaches of Playa Guiones. Utilizing its unique and tranquil setting in the Nicoya Blue Zone, Nosara is the ideal spot to meet your desires of finding peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
We want you to experience a little taste of what life in paradise is like!

Blue Zones are well-researched places in the world where people live longer and healthier than anywhere else on earth. Five of these blue zones exist, and in each of these places people living to 100 years is common. And they aren’t just living long either—these people are living healthy—without disease, medication or disability.
Five blue zones have so far been identified and thoroughly researched by National Geographic.
The five blue zones are as follows:
The Italian island of Sardinia Okinawa,
Japan Loma Linda,
Costa Rica’s isolated Nicoya Peninsula
Ikaria, an isolated Greek island
After more than five years of investigation, what have they discovered about why people in these places are living so long? The secret is lifestyle. Lifestyle, as well as the land itself and the high vibration water and foods, fertile soils, wild forests, thriving wildlife, mountains and legendary, healing waters of the Oceans there.
Quite simply, these people live a lifestyle that includes a healthy 95% plant based/whole foods diet, daily exercise, and a low stress life that incorporates family, community, purpose, spirtuality, nature connection, and meaning.
Although it may seem hard to achieve this lifestyle, the absolute simplicity and power of it should actually be refreshing and uplifting. The gift of a long and healthy life is already in the hands of each and every one of us. And we can experience the power in the simplicity of this lifestyle together in Nosara, Costa Rica!

The Yoga Teachers
This little jungle town is a world renowned yoga "mecca" - the famous Nosara Yoga Institute resided here for over 25 Years! After the NYI closed, many of the senior teachers and YTT facilitators continue to call Nosara home. This place is full of life-changing yoga classes!
The Yoga Studios
Along with our private yoga space at Patitos, Nosara is home to many other epic yoga locations such as the Bhodi Tree, Harmony Healing Centre & the Costa Rica Yoga Spa... the spaces are breath-taking, the soundscape is magical.
The pristine Playa Guiones has been completely protected from development. Costa Rican law as well as a diverse community that has made strong commitments to the environment protect this beach and it's natural jungle shoreline. Footpaths through the jungle are the only way to get to the beach!
Local animals include Howler Monkeys, Sea Turtles, Pazotes, Parrots, Blue Morpho Butterflies, Iguanas, Geckos and a diverse array of beautiful, rainbow-coloured, sea creatures to be observed in the tide pools while snorkeling!
The Surf Coaches
For a newbie, this is a surfer's dream. Local Guiones Coaches at Aqua Tibia (Water Zion) have a unique and intuitive approach to instruction. Surfing is taught in technical terms yet applied with common sense. They make you feel safe, inspired and confident to catch your first wave or learn your first bottom turn!
The Surf Break
Ahhhhh! Playa Guiones! No crazy crowds. No intense lineups. No dangerous reefs or sea urchins. This beach break is made for beginners, yet has enough energy and sassy swells for advanced riders too. Surfers of all levels will find plenty of challenge, fun, joy and reward. As the wave takes you, time suspends. The sunset waves cannot be beat.
An eclectic, enthusiastic mix of surfers, yogis, artisans, and Ticos (Costa Rican locals) can be found strolling through town and relaxing together on the beach at sunset - a place where the whole community (including all of the local pups) come together to swim and bask in the beauty of the sun, meeting the ocean.
Costa Rican Cuisine is divine and full of vitality. It's no doubt the local diet has something to do with this "Blue Zone" effect of longevity and health. Fresh food is served daily, and meals can be catered to gluten-free and various diets. Nosara is also famous for it's selection of incredible restaurants, while Lulu, a 70-something-year-old baker and surfer, handcrafts the best muffins in town.
Still considered somewhat off-the-beaten-path (though residential development is prevalent), Nosara remains sleepy and seductive. The tiny town of Guiones hugs an inspiring stretch of Costa Rican coastline. Don’t miss La Luna Restaurant on Playa Peleda for sunset views, local ceviche, and passion fruit mojitos. Want a break from all of that yoga & surfing? Zip lining, horseback riding, sea turtle observation on Playa Osteonal, mountain biking, or simply lounging are the only demands of the day.
Our accomodations, Nosara includes a small community of 3 homes tucked away on Playa Guiones. Just a 5 minute walk gets you to the beach with one of the most beautiful and consistent wave breaks in Costa Rica and the world. We have on site, a brand new, open air, yoga studio, with all the bells and whistles, fully stocked kitchens, and private salt water pools.
Nosara is located right in the middle of town at one of the few places where you can walk to the stores, yoga studios, and restaurants in town. The property is covered in magical, mature trees of all kinds, beautiful jungle plants and the most beautiful homes we've ever seen. It's a little slice of heaven on earth.
